Dan Pashman, pasta inventor and host of my favorite podcast The Sporkful, brought his family along on a recent Sunday bus tour. He featured his experience on the show as a fun follow-up to an episode we did back in 2018. I’m glad was along for this one because the Sunday bus tour is always different and this one was extra electric. We had special guests from all over the world, including the owners of Pesto pizzeria in Sao Palo, Brazil. There’s an amazing moment in the episode that captured the complete reality of me not being able to focus once I saw them walk into the room (a few minutes late) carrying pizza box samples.
Dan’s show is pretty awesome. It usually features an interview with a food personality but often veers into Dan’s own food obsessions. He and I are similar in that we both followed an unconventional path into the food world. His background in radio production made for an easy slide into podcasting back in the early days of the medium. He’s won all sorts of awards for his work.
